Bluehat Group exhibits at International Confex and offers two jobs to graduates
Bluehat Group exhibited at International Confex this week to showcase their new venues and events division as well as providing information about their existing services such as team building events and learning and development opportunities.
On the learning and development section delegates were given the opportunity to try their Need for Speed game and win a Galaxy tablet. Other activities included a showcase of their complimentary cloud based venue finding portal, which has access to over 420,000 venues worldwide. Also on offer was a chance to have a go at a Guinness World Records challenge, who is one of Bluehat’s official partners.
As part of Confex Bluehat also hosted the Eventice in association with ESP Recruitment, an ‘Apprentice’ style interview process for 15 third year Event Management students, on offer is a job at Bluehat Group and DMG (Daily Mail Group) in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
For three days the candidates were put through their paces with various activities which showcase their ability to multi task, organise, lead, project manage, negotiate, network and present. Their skills were assessed by a group of industry professionals. The first day was held at the Tobacco Dock with candidates tasked with creating and marketing their own smoothies. The second and third day was held at International Confex.
One of the tasks the candidates had to complete was using Bluehat’s Team Quest GPS treasure trail App to go round the exhibition to speak to different exhibitors to gain points which unlocks different brands, they then used the best brands to create a sponsorship lead event in Dubai.
The winners were announced on the last day of the exhibition. Due to the high calibre of candidates both Bluehat and DMG decided to offer an additional role. The two graduates who will be joining Bluehat are Bianca Ferreira from the University of Hertfordshire, and James Eynon from Southampton Solent University.
Bianca’s role within Bluehat will be to build on client relationships by offering them creative solutions and James will be involved in various aspects of the business with emphasis on media, technology and live digital engagement such as their Team Quest App.
