Earlier this month, Bluehat Group attended their 13th Summer Eventia, networking with industry professionals and gaining inspiration from compelling sessions looking at trends, influences and strategies in the event industry.
Hosted by the ICC in Birmingham, this Summer Eventia saw over 30 speakers participate, with an inspirational opening keynote from Lord Digby Jones, an outstanding exploration of the leadership traits that Shakespeare can teach us, delivered by ex-RSC actor Ian Hughes and a hugely informative session exploring the mind of the audience presented by Chris Elmitt from Crystal Interactive.
As always the evening celebration remained a closely guarded secret, until coaches dropped the excited crowd off at Fazeley Studios. Bhangra dancers, a steel drum duo and a host of Asian and Caribbean food stalls helped whet the appetite of guests for the final day of enthralling talks and activities.
Bluehat Group’s Commercial Director Ben Parkinson represented the team building specialists at this year’s event, “It’s really important for us to be a part of the official trade body for live events. Eventia create lots of opportunities to discuss hot topics with our peers and work together to drive the development of the events industry in a positive direction.
“The networking opportunities, training events and general lines of support from Eventia have helped us establish ourselves as leaders in our field of expertise. Attending the event each year allows us to see first hand the quality of products and services within our industry and continues to inspire us in our own practice.”
Once more, the Summer Eventia 2013 offered exceptional content and a valuable platform for the richest mix of events industry leaders and thinkers to network and engage in workshops, presentations and inspirational activities.
