The AHOY centre is a watersports based charity changing people’s life skills through sailing and rowing. The charity give opportunities to London based disadvantaged and at-risk youths by combining rowing and sailing activities with internships so that members of the local community can grow and develop their vocational skills in order to build self-esteem and help prepare them to tackle adult life successfully in society.

The meeting facilities at AHOY are spacious and defy the norm of your archetypal corporate setting to give your team a new perspective. This includes inspiring views of the Thames and Canary Wharf from the main meeting room.

Through Bluehat’s unique relationship with the AHOY centre we can bring you the opportunity to enjoy a fully immersive water-based team building day at this unique venue. The positive impact you bring to the Charity by hosting your event at Ahoy Centre will massively add to the sentiment the individuals in your team will experience.

We’re proud to be able to provide you with the chance to experience the fantastic work that the Centre is doing in combination with a unique aquatic outdoor team building experience. Below are a few of the formats that are possible for your day out:

Water-based Rowing Challenges

Team Building Day A

  • Participants arrive at 9/9:30 – refreshments – sign in
  • Briefing till 9:30/10am
  • Company’s own ‘Strategy/training’ meeting
  • Lunch
  • 2pm onwards rowing on & off the water till 4:45pm
  • 5:15 pm ‘round up of day’ and goodbyes – depart 5:30

Team Building B  – Corporate Social Responsibility Day

  • Participants arrive at 9/9:30 – refreshments – sign in
  • Briefing till 9:30/10am
  • Volunteering on tasks till lunchtime 1pm
  • 2pm – initial rowing training
  • 3:15 rowing on river rowing till 4:45pm
  • 5:15 pm ‘round up of day’ and goodbyes – depart 5:30

Team Building Day C

  • Participants arrive at 9/9:30 – refreshments – sign in – etc
  • Briefing till 9:30/10am
  • 9:30/10am to lunchtime rowing training
  • After lunch Company’s own ‘Strategy/training’ meeting
  • 5pm Meridian Pull from AHOY to the Houses of Parliament (approx 60 minutes)
  • 7:30pm reception for 45 minutes at Westminster Boating Club House/Hilton Hotel Chelsea Harbour
