 In the Know – A real treat of an event and one that your team won’t have seen before. The format allows guests to mix and mingle in a more free-flowing and informal style. The perfect activity to encourage networking before, during and after dinner concluding with a witty and highly amusing grande finale around coffee.

What Is In the Know?

  • n the Know is a beautiful blend of two famous TV shows; Call My Bluff and Antiques Roadshow. Working together with colleagues and eventually playing as team tables, In the Know is enjoyed at a more gentle pace compared to some of our other activities. We set up a variety of peculiar and unusual items on felt plinths around the Pre-dinner drinks area, to allow guests to make their way around each item at their leisure with a view to working out the age, value and intended use of each item. When you then take your seat for dinner, you then have through dinner to create 2 bluffs for a specific item you’ve been given, with a view to tricking your opposing teams into thinking your item is something it is not!

How it Works

  • t is a challenge that is enjoyed in a more laid-back manner and offers the perfect conversation starters to help guests relax, chat and get to know one another in an original and quirky way.

As you enter pre-dinner drinks you will find a range of antiquities on display. You take a score card and are challenged to work out the age, value and intended use of each item.

You roam around the room, meeting different people at the different items and sharing ideas, observations and humour together. You can spend more or less time at each item as you wish.

You are then called through to dinner and when you take your seat, all the cards from the other diners on your table are collected to give a team table score.

Between dinner courses, each team table is presented with an artefact along with real information about it. Over dinner, they must create two bluffs to deliver to the rest of the room at the activity finale.

Opposing teams score points for voting for the correct answer, or your team score points for every team that vote for one of your bluffs. Points are totalled up across three rounds to give a winning team for the night.

A team-building event will bring your team closer together. With the increasing culture of remote working, it will give people the opportunity to reconnect face to face in a more meaningful and fun way.
