The Concept
Lord Dalton Digley has been poisoned! At his home whilst recording a message about his plans for the disbursement of his considerable wealth derived from sapphire mining in Tasmania.
The family doctor, a golfing buddy and members of the household are all suspects for the heinous deed but who’s dunnit? Why and how?
As a team of detectives, you are invited into the virtual world of Digley Manor to unearth the clues and facts that will lead you to solving the conundrum.
Can you unearth the truth? Can you find the 3 keys to unlock the Attic door and solve the all-important cryptogram? Can you strategize your time to accomplish all you need to within the timeframe given before reporting back to Police HQ to hear what really happened and to see how well your team worked together to solve the Murder by Midnight!
How It Works
After an initial briefing by Chief Inspector Ivor Case at the Police HQ in Dingley Dell, you are transported, as a team of between 4 – 6 detectives, to the scene of the crime, depicted as a floorplan along the lines of the famous board game ‘Cleudo’. Using your smartphone, you first create your own personalised avatar, which appears on the floorplan. You then use your phone to navigate your avatar around the house to find the clues, facts, video interviews and conundrums to share and discuss with your fellow detectives to slowly piece together the sequence of events that led to the murder. At any time, you can update your verdict submission using the Police Telephones situated on each floor. Do you have what it takes?
