The Concept
With the cancellation of festivals around the world, many people are missing the vibe and buzz associated with these memorable events. But there is still a way to have fun together under the festival theme with The Festival Gatecrash!
Originally created for a specific client request, it has grown to be one of most popular activities. Within our virtual event platform, your teams are aiming to be the Superstar DJ headline on the main stage. But at the start, no one knows who you are!
You begin in the festival campsite and must first get a day pass to access to the main site. Next you must access the main arena and then finally make it to the backstage VIP area of the main stage with the final goal of being the DJ on the main stage (if you complete the whole journey in time).
To progress through the adventure, you must solve puzzles and attempt physical tasks to increase your vinyl collection to help you make it to the end of your journey. All tasks, challenges and visuals are in theme.
Everything you do is points based (you earn vinyl for completing challenges), so it’s simply the team with the most vinyl at the end that is deemed the winners.
As no one has been to a festival for many months, here is your chance to experience the festi-vibe!
How It Works
We send you a link to the meeting platform of your choice. At the allotted time, your delegates join the meeting to be welcomed by our professional host who gives a briefing about the activity and is there to guide everyone through the experience. Our tech team are also on the call in the background ready to respond to any queries in the moment.
After a theatrical briefing, teams head to their private breakout rooms (that we have created in advance). There they embark on the challenge together.
The activity is time based, so that everybody starts and finishes at the same time, perfect for a seamless corporate team event experience.
Some of the challenges require teams to submit photos to prove they have achieved the practical challenges. When everyone returns to the main room at the end, we run a photo montage of the funniest photos for guests to enjoy (we send you all photos post event too).
This is followed up by the leader board reveal. Everything that teams do within the challenge generates points and it is the team with the most points at the end that are the winners. We access our ‘hidden’ live leader board so can announce the winners instantly.
